PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT: RADON DETECTION

Health Canada recommends that every home be tested for radon, regardless of location, building type, or existing mitigation systems. Radon levels can vary significantly, even between neighboring homes or units in the same building. To support our community, the Municipality of Alleyn and Cawood has purchased two radon detectors that we will lend to ratepayers who wish to test radon levels in their home, cottage, or camp. To borrow a detector, you must sign an agreement outlining its use and proper handling. If you are interested in borrowing a detector, please contact us at:
